Late night on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, I saw an awesome
Late night on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, I saw an awesome deal on the Russ Darrow Nissan website for a Nissan Certified Used 2024 Sentra with only about 11,395 miles and a CLEAN CarFax on sale for about $18,739. Immediately after I finished working the next day, I called the dealership and Sales Manager Steve G. said it was still available so I told him I was coming in for a test ride and would arrive within a half hour. When I arrived, the vehicle was sitting out front ready for me to inspect and take a test drive. Steve introduced me to Salesman Mike A. who he said would take care of me. Mike was just a great guy to work with as was his Sales Manager, Jimmy V. I really liked the 2024 Sentra and Steve gave me a fair price for my trade - a 2010 Nissan Altima with high miles (about 191,000) which I maintained since I purchased it new despite the fact that they were aware it needed some new parts. The purchase process was quite simple - Finance Manager Chad L. wrote up the deal even though it was a cash deal and did a great job. Russ Darrow Nissan let me take the Sentra home that day on my word that I would have the money wired to the dealership and deliver the title to my trade the next day. Note that my original intent was to buy a late model, used Nissan Altima with low miles and did online research regarding pricing and size of used inventory over the course of about a year from 3 local dealerships - Russ Darrow Nissan, Rosen Nissan and Wilde Nissan. On Tuesday, April 22, 2025, I test drove a Certified Used 2020 Red Nissan Sentra with about 40,000 miles at Rosen Nissan with a price of $18,999. I almost purchased it as they made me a great offer on my trade but I just had to do some online research on the Sentra before pulling the trigger. I was also quite disappointed that the original late model blue Nissan Altima which they told me over the phone was not available when I arrived, despite being told a mere two hours earlier that it was still available. In any event, I sure am glad that I followed my instincts and did the Sentra research which resulted in an awesome deal at Russ Darrow Nissan on a one year old, Certified Used Nissan Sentra with about 30,000 LESS miles the next day! About a year ago, I was looking at a used Nissan Altima at Wilde Nissan in Waukesha and they really didn't appear that they wanted to make a deal. They wouldn't budge on the price of the vehicle and offered me a laughable amount for my trade and wouldn't budge on that either! So I immediately knew from that point that I would NEVER purchase from them. From doing online research on used Nissan vehicles at the above 3 dealerships, it has been my experience that Russ Darrow Nissan ALWAYS had the largest selection of late model, used Nissans and the BEST prices, at least for the Altima and Sentra models that I researched. I'll never waste my time going anywhere else!

Nice environment. Team was friendly and informative. One small issue. Adam recommended another vehicle to us different from the one we came to look at. When he offered it to us he quickly said “same price”. He knew our main concern was payment, but we took “same price” to be the vehicle he was offering us was the same price as the vehicle we came to look at. He did get the payment where we wanted it but failed to disclose that the vehicle he was offering us was $6000 more than the original. Yes, it was partially our fault for not asking, but we felt a little bait and switch happened. We did wind up purchasing the second vehicle, but we felt he could have been more forthcoming about the price. Like saying, “Now this car is $14,000 as compared to the $8000 car we were looking at, but he quickly glossed over the actual price and focused in on the payment. Again, we should have asked right away, but it would have been more upright for Adam to have been forthcoming with the price. Altogether it was a decent experience, but we felt like the whole matter was rushed once he had our interest in the second vehicle. Had we known we were buying a $14,000 car we might have asked what else he could offer us, but it felt like he pushed this second vehicle on us once he had our interest via the payment.

They made me pay full price for Xzilon when they told me I would get buy one get one free. Then they never applied it to my car, and when I reached out to see when they would put it on, they asked when I could. And when I said I didn’t want it anymore and wanted it taken off my monthly bills, they tried telling me it was actually already on there. They are liars. And Zay got rude and snippy with me, very unprofessional.
